Harry Coleburne:Solider who brought over Winnie the Pooh.

Cyndie will be doing a presentation on her great uncle, Harry Colebourn - He is the man who bought a little black bear cub(Winnie) in 1914 in White River, took her to Quebec for military training and then took her overseas. When he had to go to the front in France, he donated her to the London Zoo, where Alan Alexander (AA) Milne and his son, Christopher Robin fell in love with her. Hence, Winnie-the-Pooh.

Cyndie has done the presentation for several Rotary Clubs (Uxbridge, Toronto-Scarborough, Bowmanville, Toronto-Rosedale, Toronto-downtown, Oshawa, Stratford and a couple of others) and a few Probus Clubs.
