Welcome to the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise.
With a passion for service and a commitment to making a positive impact, our club strives to create lasting change locally and globally.
At the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise, we believe in the power of fellowship and working together. Our diverse group of members, representing various professions and backgrounds, come together with a shared goal of serving humanity. Through our collective efforts, we aim to address key social issues, support worthwhile causes, and encourage goodwill in our community.
As President, I am honored to lead this dedicated group of individuals who are eager to make a difference. Our club organizes and participates in a wide range of projects and initiatives that align with Rotary International's areas of focus, including promoting peace, supporting education, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, enhancing maternal and child health, and supporting economic development.
Following are just a few examples of what our club is passionate about:
- Helping others through a “Partners in Service” partnership with other local clubs
- Helping in the Soup kitchen at St Vincent’s Kitchen (Durham Outlook for the Needy)
- Organizers and host of Whitby Ribfest, Savor the Flavor and Winterfest
- Volunteers at Bingo
- Trail clean-ups, food banks, youth exchanges, mentorship, scholarship’s
- Annual sponsor of the Whitby Junior Firefighter program
- Hands on projects in the Dominican Republic and Laos
- Our Helping Hands team is always on ‘deck’
