DESCRIPTION:Hello all.  The Kids Against Hunger food packing event involvi
ng your club and five others is coming up fast. The event will take place
on the morning Sunday November 1 at the jubilee Pavillion in Oshawa. Just
a few reminders to prepare for the event.   We hope you can muster at le
ast 20 members from your club to take part. Spouses\, friends\, neighbors\
, and children all count. Please be on time so the "assembly lines " will
be complete when it is time to start. Everyone will help clean up when th
e packing is complete. If everything goes as planned \, we should be finis
hed just after noon. Have FUN   This year we are dedicating this Kids Ag
ainst Hunger event to the memory of  Bowmanville Rotarian Fred Mandryk. F
red passed away this past July. Over 20 years ago Fred brought the Kids Ag
ainst Hunger Program idea to our district. He organized  sessions at many
clubs and at the District conferences. It is estimated that Rotarians in
District 7070 have packaged more than a million meals for the needy famili
es of the world.  Without Fred's idea and work \, we probably would not b
 e here today.
