Happy Bucks
Chris O'Hagen was happy that he was able to get his wedding invitations printed at Don McCallen's new business.
Tom Fitzsimmons raised $425 for the purchase of calculators for his DR trip with a promise from Staples that they would supply the calculators at cost.
Craig Howie thanked the St Vincent Kitchen volunteers.
Kevin Ashe was happy that he was attending the home opener of the Argos and then he was off golfing at the famed Oak Hills Golf course in Michigan.
Doug Byers is winding down with only one rotary event to attend this week.
Ron Murdock received a thank you note in braille from a child that we sponsored to the CNIB summer camp.
Heather Murray was happy that her mother has joined Rotary and that she had the opportunity to meet Tomi.
Debbie Morgan received a cheque from clients of Blair Buchanan for $400 for the sponsorship of two seniors in the DR.
Peter Spratt had good things to say about our health system after his nephew was taken seriously ill while at his cottage.

Announcements
Colin n O'Regan is looking for volunteers for the Fairview Lodge event on 7th August. The event runs from 10am to 3pm.
Kevin Ashe announced the tentative date of our golf tournament as 10th September.
Craig Howie was looking for volunteers for a dunk tank event in Mississauga on the 31st July.
Mark Chipman was also looking for volunteers for the Running Room event on the 23rd July.
Ron Murdock announced the Rocky Varcoe team as the winners of the Rotary plaque for the HMA golf tournament.
Treasurer Peter Gorham is looking for prompt payment of this years dues and wants all outstanding invoices from last year in by next week.

Program
Peter Gorham brought the club up to date with the Polio Plus program. He issued a challenge to club members that he would match donations to the Polio Plus fund up to a total of $1500. Each dollar donated would be worth $5.50 when matched by Rotary International and the Bill Gates Foundation.

President Andrew gave his inaugural speech outlining his goals for the club for this year.

Historic Whitby & Brooklin Greeting Cards

sketched_house.jpgSix historic homes in Whitby and Brooklin have been sketched for this fundraising project. The cards have been printed on a high quality parchment and are blank inside. They are suitible to send for any occasion or are ready for framing. Each set includes 12 greeting cards (two of each design) complete with matching envelopes at a price of $20.
